McKenzie to Recognize Memorial Day with Monday Service
From the May 19, 2026 e-EditionThe City of McKenzie hosts a Memorial Day Ceremony Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park.
This year’s Memorial Day speaker is Tammy Host. Host is a retired Dental Technician Petty Officer – Third Class for the United States Navy.
U.S. Army Sgt. Medic David Kellett Hochreiter will provide a prayer and read a Memorial Day poem.
Placing the Memorial Day wreath are retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Dana Deem (American Legion Post 37) and retired U.S. Army E7 Sgt. First Class Tim Smothers (VFW Post 4939 Commander).
Chelsea Brown will provide patriotic music, and Riley Crafton will perform Taps.
The VFW Post 4939 Ladies Auxiliary will serve refreshments at the ceremony’s conclusion.
