McKenzie Opens Season with Win Over Clarksburg

McKENZIE (March 9) — McKenzie High School hosted district foe Clarksburg Monday to begin the softball season. The Lady Rebels jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 10-0 win in five innings.
McKenzie scored three runs in the bottom of the first, five in the second and two in the fifth to end the contest.
Lady Rebel Maggie Hall was 2-for-3 with a home run (her career first), a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Aurora Johnson was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Braylin Auvenshine was 1-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Kynadie Brown was 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Addyson Littleton was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Haylee Beard was 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored. Kailie Hudgins and Addison Milam (McKenzie) were both 0-for-3 with a run scored.
Lady Rocket Cari Glosson was 1-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base. Lainey Glosson was 1-for-2 with a stolen base. Addison Milam (Clarksburg) was 1-for-2.
Aurora Johnson earned the complete-game shutout for McKenzie, allowing three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.
Addison Milam took the complete-game loss for Clarksburg, allowing ten runs (five earned) on nine hits while walking two and striking out four in four and two-thirds innings.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
