From the Jun 10, 2025 e-EditionAggravated Assault — Thomas G. Simmons, 34, Highland Drive, McKenzie, was charged with Aggravated Assault of a domestic partner on June 4.
Sergeant Darren Davis and Patrolman Daniel Pollard responded to the motel Relax Inn to a call about Simmons attacking his female companion by attempting to strangle her. She had escaped the motel room to her car and Mr. Simmons remained inside the room.
Simmons was charged with Aggravated Assault and Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Suspended License — Daron Lee Dildine, 59, Will Young Road, Greenfield, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Possession of Schedule 2 Drugs on June 3.
Officer Dustin McClure initiated the traffic stop after Dildine failed to yield at a stop sign. A check of the driver’s license revealed the suspended status. A search of the vehicle produced a crystal-like substance believed to be meth.
He was arrested on the drug charge and transported to Carroll County Jail. He was cited into court on the remaining charges.
Driving on Suspended License — Lorenzo Dante Stewart, 36, Smith Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Speeding on June 8.
Officer Dustin McClure stopped Stewart’s vehicle for speeding. A check of the driver’s license revealed the suspended status. He was cited into General Sessions Court.
Driving on Suspended License — Angelina Bey, 47, Magnolia Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on June 6.
Officer Dustin McClure stopped Bey’s vehicle on previous knowledge of the status of the license. She was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
Driving on Suspended License — Sarah Marie Wilkerson, 47, Highway 423, McKenzie was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on June 7.
Officer Dustin McClure observed Wilkerson fail to stop at the sign and he initiated a traffic stop. Wilkerson’s license was suspended and she could not provide proof of insurance. She was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
