McKenzie Volleyball Sweeps Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG (September 7) — McKenzie picked up a district volleyball victory Monday, sweeping the Clarksburg Rockets in three sets to improve to 6-4 overall and 5-1 in district play.

The Lady Rebels dominated the opening two sets, winning 25-8 and 25-7. Clarksburg put up a stronger fight in the third, but McKenzie closed out the match with a 25-15 victory for the 3-0 sweep.

Madilyn Milam led McKenzie at the service line with nine aces while adding five kills, one dig, one assist and a team-high three blocks. Jaycee Stafford followed with eight aces, two digs, two kills and an assist.

Braylin Auvenshine recorded six aces, five kills, two assists and two blocks. Charlie Cassidy contributed four aces, six kills, one dig and one block.

Kynadie Brown directed the McKenzie offense with a team-high 16 assists. She also finished with five kills, one ace and one dig.

Addison Milam led the Lady Rebels with seven kills and added three aces and one block. Maggie Hall recorded one dig.

McKenzie's junior varsity squad also earned a sweep over Clarksburg, winning 25-13 and 25-9 to improve to 6-4.

Kynlee Barden led the JV squad with nine aces while adding two kills, one dig and one assist. Madilyn Milam led the offense with eight kills and contributed two assists and one ace.

Willow Stenberg finished with five kills and one ace, while Abby Carroll recorded a team-high five assists and two aces. Aubrey Hoffman added three assists.

Serenity Bobo contributed four aces, two kills, one assist and one block. Cassidy had two aces, two kills and one block, while Natalia Taylor recorded two digs
