Tickets Available McKenzie High School Great Pretenders This Weekend
From the Mar 16, 2021 e-EditionMcKENZIE — Tickets are still on sale for the McKenzie High School 2021 Great Pretenders shows. The McKenzie High School Class of 2021 is presenting its Great Pretenders Show: “All In This Together” Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21 at McKenzie High School Gymnasium on the McKenzie High School campus. Show performances are Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from any MHS high school senior or at ACS Verizon at 15030 Highland Drive in McKenzie.
Great Pretenders is a long-standing McKenzie High School event, in which proceeds help fund a Project Graduation Event – promoting safe fun the night of graduation-- for each graduating class. Great Pretenders is a music variety show where class members and their parents emulate performances of celebrity performers.
Tickets prices are $10 for reserved seating on the floor of the gymnasium and $8 for general admission bleacher seating. Limited general admission bleacher tickets are available at the door prior to each performance. Everyone is encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Social distancing protocols will be followed and the wearing of masks is encouraged.

McKenzie School Board Approves $15.7 Million Budget
McKENZIE (July 7) — The McKenzie Special School District Board of Education approved a $15.7 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year during a brief meeting Tuesday afternoon. Also approved was the certified property tax rate of $.7483 per $100 assessed value, unchanged from last year. The tax rate is distributed between the General Purpose Fund ($.4898) and the Debt Service Fund ($.2585).
