McKenzie High School Preseason Football Schedule Released
From the Jun 30, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE — McKenzie High School football recently released a schedule of activities for the 2026 preseason.
July begins with three 7-on-7s, the first on Tuesday, July 7 at Lexington High School. On Thursday, July 9, McKenzie hosts a 7-on-7, then the Rebels travel to Henry County for another on Tuesday, July 14.
The Rebel players and coaches host a Youth Football Camp Monday, July 20 at the MHS Indoor Facility from 6-8 p.m.
McKenzie’s first scrimmage is Friday, July 31 at Bethel University against Obion County.
The second scrimmage is also at Bethel on Friday, August 7 against Lexington.
A meet-and-greet event on Saturday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Rebel Stadium will introduce fans to the players, coaches, cheerleaders and band members.
Finally, the Rebels participate in the Henry County High School Jamboree on Friday, August 14, where they will face McCracken County.

Single Vehicle Accident Barely Misses Commercial Buildings
HUNTINGDON (August 2) — A single-vehicle accident involving a pickup truck exited Main Street in Huntingdon, destroyed part of the decorative fencing at Thomas Park and proceeded past Joe’s Barbecue sign, scattering rocks along the business’ parking lot and neighboring parking lots before going down a ravine, stopping short of a stream.
