Overflow Church Homeschool Group Visits the Newspaper

McKENZIE (January 7) — On Wednesday, a group of homeschooled children that attend Overflow Church visited The Banner to learn about the newspaper and print shop. Approximately 15 children aged 1 to 11 years old participated in the tour accompanied by parents or guardians. Topics discussed included the history of the newspaper, how it’s made, printing and presses as well as the planned and unplanned nature of the news. Thank you for visiting!

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items. The setting at Paris Landing State Park provides visitors with great views while shopping. There will also be food and beverage vendors, as well as a petting zoo. Admission and parking are free.
