Piro Named Eagle Scout of the Year

JACKSON (June 1) — Jackson Elks Lodge #192 announced Monday that Janyla Piro of McKenzie is the Eagle Scout of the Year for 2025-26, highlighting her outstanding achievement and inspiring community pride.
Piro is a rising junior at McKenzie High School. She has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with high honors. Her sports interests include track and soccer. Piro is a member of the MHS Marching Rebels and plays clarinet with the Jackson Youth Symphony. She is the daughter of Heather Piro.
She was presented a certificate, a flag, a lodge pin, a 250th anniversary pin and a cash award.
