Prescott & Pearl Coming to theDEPOT

McKENZIE — Carli Beeler has big plans for the city of McKenzie's fashion scene. Over the weekend, the recent McKenzie High School graduate announced the launch of Prescott & Pearl, a new clothing boutique and gift shop located at 91 Bruce Street. The shop will be the first business to open in theDEPOT, McKenzie’s historic train depot turned retail incubator.

Beeler, the daughter of Tim and Ashley Beeler, credits her family's passion for building businesses and serving the surrounding communities for inspiring her to open a shop of her own. Her grandfather, Gary Simmons, owns Gary Simmons Lease-Sales in McKenzie, and her brother Drew Beeler has opened two businesses in McKenzie (Hometown Hangout and McKenzie Nutrition), one business in Greyton Beach, Fla. (Pecan Jacks) and will soon open a smoothie shop in Martin (Leaf & Berry). 

Having always loved fashion, Beeler felt drawn to open a clothing boutique where she could help customers find the right pieces to make them feel confident. Aside from clothing, Prescott & Pearl will carry accessories, gifts, home décor and more.

"This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and I truly can’t believe I finally get to share it with all of you," Beeler said.

Beeler said Prescott & Pearl is in its "final stretch" as she puts some finishing touches on the store and waits for a few last shipments to arrive. She has not yet announced an opening date.

However, the excitement of the upcoming launch coincides with another significant milestone for Beeler: she moves to Oxford, Miss., in the next few days to begin her college career at The University of Mississippi. While she is away, Beeler said she plans to run Prescott & Pearl "behind the scenes" while her family and friends will work in the store. 

Beeler also announced plans to bring Prescott & Pearl online, inviting customers from all over to shop from her selections. She hopes to eventually bring Prescott & Pearl to Oxford and other towns as a pop-up shop.
