Rebels Volleyball Sweeps Madison
From the Sep 8, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE (September 3) — The McKenzie Lady Rebels bounced back with a three-set district victory over Madison on Thursday, improving to 5-4 overall and 4-1 in district play.
McKenzie battled to a 27-25 victory in the opening set before taking control of the match with consecutive 25-19 wins to complete the sweep.
Jaycee Stafford led the Rebels with 12 kills and seven digs. Addison Milam and Braylin Auvenshine each recorded nine kills, with Auvenshine adding three blocks and four aces.
Kynadie Brown directed the McKenzie offense with 21 assists while adding three kills and two aces. Charlie Cassidy recorded four aces, three kills and three digs. Madilyn Milam added three aces and two kills, while Maggie Hall finished with five digs.
The McKenzie junior varsity team also swept Madison, winning both sets 25-21 to improve to 5-4.
Madilyn Milam led the JV team with six kills. Charlie Cassidy, Willow Stenberg and Kynlee Barden each recorded five kills. Abby Carroll finished with 12 assists and five aces, while Aubrey Hoffman added five assists.
