PARIS, Tenn. - Richard Michael “Richie” Cannon, age 42 of Paris, TN, died on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Richie was born in Jackson, Tenn., on November 21, 1983. He is the son of Mike and Debbie Cannon of Lavinia, Tenn.
He married Heather Legens Cannon on September 17, 2005.
Richie attended Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris and worked at Gerdau Jackson Steel Mill. He previously worked at Tosh Farms for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the beach, and watching Alabama football. Most importantly, Richie was a proud father of two children and cherished the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife and parents, Richie is also survived by two children, Drake Cannon and Daylee Cannon; brother, Chris (Faith) Cannon of Atwood, Tenn; grandfather, James Marshall of Atwood; aunt, Denise (Paul) Reed of Jackson, Tenn.; father-in-law, Rick Legens of Gleason, Tenn.; three brothers-in-law, Jeremy (Crystal) Legens, Dusty (Alicia) Legens, and Cruz (Erin) Legens; and several nieces and nephews.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service is at 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Steve Gallimore officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with Chris Cannon, Drake Cannon, Brian Wheeler, John Dunn, Shane Kemp, and Zac Gilliam serving as pallbearers.
Paul Reed will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Memorials may be made to the Henry County High School Cheerleaders, 315 S. Wilson St., Paris, TN 38242.
