Roger Lynn Prater

CLARKSBURG, Tenn. — Mr. Roger Lynn Prater, 46, of Clarksburg, died Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis from injuries sustained during a work-related accident.

He was born on December 2, 1979, to Charles "Tootie" and Corinne Prater. Roger graduated from Clarksburg High School. He lived in Jackson, Tennessee, where he worked as a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dalton Prater, his maternal grandmother, Elnora Roberts, and his paternal grandparents, James and Clara Mae Prater.

He is survived by a daughter, Jaden, two sons, Riley and Adiken, a sister, Brandy (Prater) McDaniel, a brother, Ronald Prater, as well as his parents, Charles "Tootie" and Corinne Prater of Clarksburg

Although Roger’s life has ended, he had chosen to help give life to others through organ donation. Through this gift, he still lives on.
