From the Jul 30, 2024 e-EditionBRUCETON - Mr. Roland Lee Barnhart, 79, of Bruceton, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Prospect Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Bradshaw and Bro. Abraham Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery in Bruceton.
Mr. Barnhart was born January 28, 1945, in Huntingdon, to the late James Clifford and Jewell Elizabeth Barnhart. He was a yard master for CSX railroad, a member of Prospect Baptist Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge # 731. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Harland Barnhart, and Charles Barnhart, and a granddaughter, Lauren Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Barnhart, three daughters, Sandra Hollingsworth (Abe), of Douglasville, Georgia, Sheila Voyles (Scott) of Charleston, South Carolina, and Shelly Maness (Nick) of Spanish Grove. He also leaves six grandchildren, Seth Hollingsworth, Josh Hollingsworth, Blake Voyles, Brennan Voyles, Brayden Maness, and Bryleigh Maness. Chase Funeral Home.
