McKenzie (November 25) — The Rotary Club of McKenzie inducted three new members during its Tuesday, November 25, meeting.

The local club, part of Rotary International, continues to grow its membership and expand its service in the local community.

President Ricky Price, left, stands with new members Zack Cox, owner of Central Refrigeration, Alyse McMinn, director of the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Carroll County, and Gary Hillard, a recent retiree who returned to live in his hometown of McKenzie.

The local club meets each Tuesday at noon for lunch and an informational program at the Vera Low Center on Bethel University’s campus.

McKenzie Rotary supports Rotary International’s humanitarian efforts. The club also places significant emphasis on working with and supporting the local community.

Recently, the club donated food to clients of the Carl Perkins Center in Carroll County, purchased winter jackets for children whose families are budget-constrained, and donated $1,000 to the Christmas for Kids event sponsored by the McKenzie Police and Fire departments and Beta Sigma Phi social sorority in McKenzie.

The club also hosts the annual academic Honors Banquets at McKenzie High School and McKenzie Middle School.

Visitors are encouraged to attend the weekly meetings and to consider joining one of the most active service organizations in the county.
