McKenzie Rotary Helps with Solid Ground Foundation
From the Jun 18, 2024 e-Edition
The McKenzie Rotary Club donated $2,000 to the Aird’s new foundation called Solid Ground. This foundation is in honor of the late Tom and Mary-Lou Aird who died in a car crash six years ago.
Solid Ground was created to help grieving families in a time of need. Solid Ground provides four scholarships to graduating seniors every year who represent all traits that Tom and Mary-Lou valued most. Solid ground plans to start a free tutoring center for children in need. They also have plans to start a grief sharing program and help provide needy children with sports equipment.
