White is one of 40 participants chosen from across Tennessee to join the program, which aims to enhance the expertise of elected officials and senior government leaders. The program, based in Jackson, begins in September.
White’s selection adds to a long list of professional development credentials. He is a graduate of the First Line Leadership Program, the Southeastern Leadership Academy, the Carroll County Leadership Program and the WestStar Leadership Program.
"Chief White's passion for professional development reflects his belief that great leaders never stop learning," the department said in a statement. "We are proud to see his hard work and dedication recognized at the state level."
