Sara Berlean Burns

BRUCETON — Mrs. Sara Berlean Burns, 94, of Bruceton died Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Life Care Center of Bruceton.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5, in the Chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home on Friday, September 4, from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. and again on Saturday, from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.

Berlean was born April 7, 1932, in Benton County, TN to the late Yancy Fields and Julia Ann Cole Fields. Other than her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband John Dennis (J.D.) Burns. She was a very proud grandmother and great grandmother. Also enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church of Hollow Rock.

She is survived by her son, John Burns Jr. of Bruceton, two grandchildren, Annamarie McWilliams (Andrew) of Toney, AL, and John Daniel Burns (Kayla Beth) of Augusta, GA, three great grandchildren, John Daniel Burns Jr, Everett Allen Burns, and Hazel Marie McWilliams, and the daughter she never had Dannielle Blank.
