Mrs. Scates, 81, died at her residence in Magnolia TX, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She worked at Beverly Hills Intermediate Middle School, Houston TX from 1974 – 1989 and then worked at the Administration office for Harris County School District Houston, TX. She was born in Huntingdon, TN on May 11, 1943 to the late Lucian and Queenie Wilson Hollowell.
She is survived by her husband Curtis Neil Scates of Magnolia, two children Trey (Jennifer) Scates of Magnolia and Steve(Mary) Scates of Conroe, TX, a brother Dwayne (Dot) Hollowell of McKenzie, seven grandchildren Anthony Scates, Jessica Scates, Hayden Scates, McKay (Erin) Scates, Dillon Scates, Corey Scates and Hilary Case and one great grandbaby on the way MaKenna.
