From the Jul 22, 2025 e-EditionMr. Scott William Luther, 38, of Clarksburg, Tennessee died Monday, July 14, 2025 at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
Funeral services are 12:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Chase Sanders officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 PM.
He was born November 7, 1986 in Jackson, Tennessee. Scott was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard as a Specialist E-4 after serving for eight years. In addition, he worked for West Tennessee Public Utilities District as a line crew foreman for over 14 years.
Scott loved all things outdoors, including camping, hunting, and horseback riding. Above all else, he treasured spending his time with his two daughters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Monica Luther of Clarksburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Emmalyn Luther and Millie Luther, both of Clarksburg, Tennessee; parents Thomas “Spud” Luther and Robin Luther; one brother, Dustin (Aubrey) Luther of Norfolk, Virginia; two nephews, Dawson Luther and Mason Kyle; one niece, CharLee Kyle.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charles William Belew and Linda Faye Belew.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Greg Scott, Phillip Lewis, Lance Shavchuck, Varon Patterson, Mason Kyle and Hunter Brown.
