Domestic Assault — On June 25, Deputy Alex Sherwood was dispatched to a home in Trezevant regarding a domestic disturbance. A family member called the police because Kristofer Stenberg, 24, of Trezevant, came home from a local bar very upset. She says a physical altercation ensued between another family member and Kristofer and that family member was injured. An arrest warrant was issued at the time of this report for Kristofer.

Interference with 911 Calls — On June 22, Deputy Jayden Flaurr was dispatched to a call at the Marathon Gas station in Bruceton. Dwight Mealer had called for help because his wife, Margreda Mealer, 58, of Bruceton, took his cell phone from him and he had to walk to the gas station to have someone call 911 for him. Deputies went back to the residence of the Mealer’s and let Margreda know that Mr. Mealer has the right to his cell phone and charger to charge up his phone; and to not take it from him again. As soon as the deputies walked out, they heard yelling, and Margreda had already taken the phone again. She was arrested for interfering with 911 calls since she was not allowing him to keep his phone.

Theft — On June 24, a victim reported that his trailer was stolen from Highway 114. The trailer is a 5x8 blue in color with a fold-down ramp and dent in the left fender with plywood mounted on the floor. The fold-down ramp has a chain broken on the passenger side. It has 15-inch tires.

Drug Paraphernalia — On June 22, Deputy Thomas initiated a traffic stop on a black Mercedes in Hollow Rock for failure to maintain lane. When approaching the vehicle, he could smell marijuana. The driver, Jamie Barker, 43, of McKenzie, and passenger, Michael Webb, 31, of McKenzie, said they were headed to Camden and stated they were just borrowing the vehicle from “McKenzie.” Barker and Webb denied the marijuana smell and Barker kept saying she was “not doing anything.” Deputy Thomas deployed his K9 Abbey, who alerted the vehicle to have drugs. Behind the driver’s seat was a pill bottle with white residue inside, a glass pipe with white crystalline substance. In a yellow backpack, there was 1.8 ounces of marijuana and a black digital scale. Jamie Barker was cited for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and Webb was issued a warning for possession of Schedule VI and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
