McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for Sherrye L Washburn are Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, McKenzie. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday, 10 a.m. until service time.

Ms. Washburn, 52 years old, died Friday, September 26, 2025, at Henry Co. Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught pre-kindergarten, was chairman of the Cancer Bake Auction for Relay for Life, a graduate of McKenzie High School Class of 1991 and an avid supporter of Rebel Football.

She is survived by her parents, Wayford, Jr. and Ann Drewry Washburn of McKenzie, a sister, Sarah (Greg) Allen of Brentwood, a brother, Chuck (Charissa) Washburn of Murfreesboro, nieces and nephews, Maggie, Mollie, Mason, Kylie, Mabry, Blake, Sidney, Charlee Kate, Hadley and Nathan, and grandfather, W.O. (Elizabeth) Washburn, Sr. of McKenzie.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Marie Washburn, and maternal grandparents, Harris and Laverne Drewry.
