Carroll Arts to Present ‘Southern Fried Funnies’ at Sweet Tea Festival

McKENZIE — Carroll Arts, Inc. will once again present Southern Fried Funnies: A Classy Redneck Variety Show, during the City of McKenzie’s annual Sweet Tea Festival.
Shows are at the historic Park Theatre on Thursday, August 21 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 23 at 2 p.m. Admission is $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Carroll Arts members or cast members.
The show includes sketches from and based on Hee Haw, The Carol Burnett Show, Abbott and Costello, The Dean Martin-Jerry Lewis Comedy Hour, The Tim Conway Comedy Hour, Minnie Pearl and Ray Stevens.
Cast members include: Carol Armpriest, Scott Armpriest, Alene Ball, Darryl Ball, Nancy Davenport, Veronica Giaimo Davis, Andrew Evans, Mayor Ryan Griffin, Thomas Keenan, Marlene Kreuter, Destiny Lane, Lynda Lankford, Patricia Lee, Brittany Martin, Melissa McDonald, Fran Musser, Joanne Ownby, Martha Sue Peters, Gina Rainey, Glynda Rich, Brad Sam, Jesse Turner and Isaac Stephen Walker.
The production is directed by Glynda Rich and Denise Sam.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items.
