Carroll Arts Presents Southern Fried Funnies During Sweet Tea Festival

McKENZIE (August 22, 24) - Local talent was on full display Thursday and Saturday as Carroll Arts, Inc., presented the annual Southern Fried Funnies at the historic Park Theatre.
The Thursday evening show unofficially kicks off the Sweet Tea Festival in downtown McKenzie, while the Saturday afternoon encore is at the apex of the festival, providing an entertaining reprieve from the August heat outside.
The show features classic comedy sketches from favorites such as The Beverly Hillbillies, Hee-Haw and The Carol Burnett Show, as well as music.
Performers include: Dr. Andrew Evans, Anna Moore, Chelsea Fuller Brown, Mitchell Brown, Jon Eaton and family, Jason Martin, Denise Sam, Brad Sam, Veronica Davis, Joseph Keenan, Carol Armpriest, Scott Armpriest, Glynda Rich, Leigh Goodwin, Mike Goodwin, Noelle Herris, Nancy Hicks, Missy McDonald, Isaac Stephen Walker and Allison Cummings.
Mayor Ryan Griffin made a special surprise appearance.
Casey Crosser provided lights and sound.
Southern Fried Funnies is directed by Glynda Rich and Denise Sam.
