Summer Food Service Available At McKenzie Elementary School
From the May 27, 2025 e-EditionMcKenzie Elementary, 165 Brooks Avenue, provides a summer food service program Monday through Friday from May 27 until July 18.
Anyone 18 years old and under can eat for free every day. Adults are welcome to eat at a cost of $1.50 for breakfast and $3 for lunch.
Breakfast is served from 8-9 a.m.; lunch is offered from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
The service will not be available June 19 or June 30-July 4.

New Portrait of Hal Holbrook Unveiled at The Dixie PAC
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — The legacy of the late actor Hal Holbrook has been immortalized in a new oil portrait, unveiled Wednesday, August 19, at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. The painting, created by artist and former art professor Lindon Noe, now hangs in the Center, serving as a companion piece to an existing portrait of Holbrook’s wife, the late Dixie Carter-Holbrook.
