TCAT Henry/Carroll Sees Major Success at State SkillsUSA Conference

Students from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Henry/Carroll took home 14 medals following the SkillsUSA Tennessee’s State Leadership and Skills Conference in Chattanooga on March 15-18.

Eight students received gold, first-place medals in their respective contests: Caden Tucker, HVAC; Richard Zar, Automotive; Elizabeth Ilko, Job Interview; Dakota Ables, TeamWorks; Kelson Moore, TeamWorks; Jason Hicks, TeamWorks; Craegen Travis, TeamWorks; and Trae Fenty, Commercial Roofing.

Four students received silver, second-place medals in their respective contests: Anna Daigle, Nail Tech; Ethan Peevyhouse, Automated Manufacturing Technology; Jonathan Fuentes, Automated Manufacturing Technology; and Brantley Nanney, Automated Manufacturing Technology.

Two students received bronze, third-place medals in their respective contests: Arianna Evans, Esthetics and Scott Lutz, Industrial Motor.

TCAT Henry/Carroll was named the Gold Distinction Chapter of Excellence at the conference. Sherry Wilson was named Support Staff of the Year, and Allen Ashlock received the Volunteer Service Award.

State gold medalists earn the right to compete nationally at the SkillsUSA Championships each June. The 2026 National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) is June 1-5 in Atlanta.

TCAT Henry/Carroll is a vocational and technical school with campuses located in Paris, McKenzie, Camden and Dresden, Tenn.
