Carroll County Teachers Participate in WestTeach

Three Carroll County teachers are taking part in the fall 2024 WestTeach leadership program at the University of Tennessee at Martin: Dana Christian, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School; Ginger Taylor, Huntingdon High School; and Noah Rogers, West Carroll Junior/Senior High School.
WestTeach held its first program, a look into agriculture and entrepreneurship, on August 26 and 27.
There are four more programs during the semester throughout West Tennessee, including the December 10 graduation program at UT Martin.
WestTeach is the premier leadership program for teachers in the 21 counties in West Tennessee and is a function of the university’s WestStar Leadership Program. Its mission is to engage and equip West Tennessee teachers with tools and leadership skills for success in and outside of the classroom.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items. The setting at Paris Landing State Park provides visitors with great views while shopping. There will also be food and beverage vendors, as well as a petting zoo. Admission and parking are free.
