Tigers Fall to Richland in Game One
From the May 19, 2026 e-EditionLYNNVILLE (May 13) — The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School Tigers traveled to face the Richland Raiders Wednesday in Game One of the best-of-three TSSAA Class 1A Baseball Sectional Series. Richland opened up a big lead early en route to a 15-0 win in five innings.
The Raiders scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning, seven in the third and three in the fourth.
Tiger Drake Hollingsworth was 1-for-2 with a double. Brayden Maness, Parker Boyd and Parker Finley were each 1-for-2. Tanner Walters was 1-for-3.
Raider Jameson Andrews was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBIs and two runs scored. Brigham Worsham was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Jack Jackson was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. Gavin Shrader was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Will Shirey was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Emerson Nelson was 1-for-2 with a double, a sacrifice fly, three RBIs and a run scored. Tucker Mayo was 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Riley Strickland was 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI.
Gage Whitt earned the complete-game shutout for Richland, allowing five hits while walking none and striking out five.
Drake Hollingsworth got the start for Central, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on 11 hits while walking four and striking out two in two and two-thirds innings. Parker Finley pitched the final inning and a third, allowing three earned runs on five hits while walking two and striking out one.
