Train, Truck Collision Claims Two Lives

McKENZIE (September 6) — Two young men lost their lives when their work truck crossed into the path of a CSX train on Saturday, September 6.
According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Martin R. Perez, 26, was driving a 2022 model 5500 Dodge truck east on Harris Road, just outside McKenzie. Luke Scott, 18, was the passenger. The CSX train was southbound.
This is the second fatal accident at that railroad crossing within a month. Destiny Henry, 24, died on August 13.
