UT Martin Graduate Inducted into Order of the Engineer

MARTIN (June 5) — Engineering students completing their Bachelor of Science in Engineering participated in the Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony on May 2 at the University of Tennessee at Martin. The Order of the Engineer was established in 1970 to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession. In the ceremony, graduates were invited to accept the Obligation of the Engineer and receive a stainless-steel ring. Connor Viana (right), of McKenzie, was among those inducted into the Order of the Engineer. Viana is congratulated by Chancellor Yancy Freeman, Sr. on receiving his engineering degree during the spring commencement ceremony May 2 at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
