She was born March 4, 1956, in Lakewood, New Jersey, to the late Joseph William Betterly and Ingevar Elane (Hansen) Betterly. She worked as a nurse for Baptist Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Leevie Holder, and a daughter, Stephanee Betterly.
