Walter “Pete” Hargrove

HUNTINGDON — Mr. Walter “Pete” Hargrove, 85, of Buena Vista, Tennessee, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services are on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Butler and Bro. Kenneth Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Mr. Hargrove was born on August 24, 1940, to the late Jessie and Claudean (Walker) Hargrove. He worked for Camden Casting Co. as a supervisor. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Raymond Hargrove, William Hargrove, Jessie Hargrove Jr., James Hargrove, and a sister, Lou Hicks.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Flora Hargrove, two sons, Randy Hargrove of Buena Vista and Rodney Hargrove (Cindy) of Bruceton, a sister, Blondell Allen (Donnie) of Camden, four Brothers, George Hargrove (Reba) of Nashville, Sam Hargrove (Linda) of Camden, Danny Hargrove (Louise) of Hollow Rock, and Wayne Hargrove of Memphis, two Grandchildren, Marcus Hargrove (Jasmine) and Michael Hargrove (Kayla), and one great-grandchild Caroline Hargrove.
