West Carroll Falls to Greenfield on Homecoming

ATWOOD (September 26) — West Carroll hosted Greenfield Friday for a region football contest and Homecoming festivities. The visiting Yellowjackets scored once in each quarter and stifled the War Eagles for a 30-0 win.
Greenfield had 242 yards of total offense, including 195 yards on the ground and 47 through the air. West Carroll had 136 total yards, 129 on the ground and seven in the air.
War Eagle quarterback Mason Taylor was four of nine passing for seven yards. He had 23 carries for 110 yards.
Qumarion Patterson had three carries for nine yards and two catches for nine yards. Chance Weatherford had one carry for seven yards, and Parker Newman gained three yards on two rushes.
Patterson led the defense with five solo tackles and two assists, including one for a loss. Caleb Vermillion had three solo and two assists, one for a loss. Peyton Gilford had two solo and four assists, one for a loss. Braden Marise had a solo and four assists, one for a loss.
