West Carroll Students Attend UTM Art Day
From the Mar 17, 2026 e-EditionOn March 6, 2026, West Carroll High School Advanced Art students traveled to the University of Tennessee at Martin to participate in the UTM College Art Day. This is an event that brings together talented students from across the region to share their creative works and develop their artistic skills.
The College Art Day provided students with an opportunity to enter their artwork into a juried art show, take various hands-on art classes and connect with other art students from the West Tennessee area. Throughout the day, West Carroll students chose to explore classes in figure drawing, sculpture, printmaking and theatre, where they learned from instructors and experienced what college-level art courses can offer.
In addition to the fun experience, West Carroll students brought home two awards, including an honorable mention in Sculpture and third place in Mixed Media.
