WEST CARROLL (April 23) — The West Carroll Special School District announced its newest round of students of the week from its primary, elementary and junior/senior high schools. The three students — Kathryn O’Bryant, Taylor Marlow and Hunter Malm — were each nominated for their friendly personalities in the classroom.
Kathryn O’Bryant is West Carroll Primary School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Karen Talley.
“Kathryn is a bright student and a hard worker,” Talley said. “She faces challenges with such courage. Kathryn is a wonderful friend to everyone. Kathryn participates in class discussions with great ideas and interests. It has been amazing having her in class. I look forward to seeing where her future takes her.”
Taylor Marlow is West Carroll Elementary School’s student of the week, nominated by Mrs. Sherry Cockrill.
“Taylor is a model student,” Cockrill said. “He gets along well with everyone and consistently demonstrates integrity.”
Hunter Malm is West Carroll Jr/Sr High School’s student of the week, nominated by Mr. Noah Rogers.
“Hunter is an outgoing young man who positively influences and encourages his peers every day,” Rogers said. “I’m looking forward to working with him for the next four years.”
The West Carroll Special School District also recognized West Carroll Elementary School third-grade ELA teacher Brianna Rice as teacher of the week.
