Webb School Hosts Back-to-School Events
From the Jul 28, 2026 e-Edition
McKENZIE (July 25) — The Webb School was the site of a community effort Saturday to help local children prepare for the upcoming school year. The event was open to students in grades K-8.
Children attending the event received free clothing, shoes and undergarments, along with haircuts and hairstyles, as they prepared to return to school. The program helped local families with some of the expenses associated with getting children ready for a new school year while giving students the opportunity to begin the year feeling confident and prepared.
The event was made possible through the generosity of local businesses, organizations and individuals who donated funds, supplies and services.
Organizers extend their sincere appreciation to the following sponsors and supporters:
The Webb Alumni Association, McKenzie First Baptist, McKenzie Rotary Club, E.W. James and Sons, Tosh Farms, TCAT Henry/Carroll; Farm Bureau, Gideons Bible, Walmart – Huntingdon and Paris, Stafford Real Estate, The McKenzie Banner, McKenzie Police Department, McKenzie Fire Department, McKenzie Banking Company, Girl Scouts, Hospital Wing, Woodmen Life, Unique Barber Shop – Shaun Hughes, One Touch Hair Salon – Juanita Winer, OnPoint Cutz & Stylez – Aaron Morris, Debbie's Salon – Debbie Moore, Eric and Mistee Cooper, Mary Nolen, Gloria Nolen, Mary Higgins, Carroll County News-Leader, and an anonymous donor.
Special thanks are also extended to all of the volunteers who gave their time and talents to make the Back-to-School Bash possible.
