TREZEVANT (August 20) — West Carroll Elementary School continues to celebrate student achievement through its SOAR Awards program, which honors students who exemplify the school's core values of Safety, Ownership, Achievement and Respect. The program recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic effort, positive character and meaningful contributions to the school community.

Macie Bennett, Everlee Kopiar and Harper Tidwell are the first SOAR students of the 2026-27 school year.

"Macie is a very respectful and kind human, and even in the short time she has been in band is already showing signs of being a successful musician," said Brayden Campbell, West Carroll Jr. High band director. "Ms. O'Bryan and I are excited to see how she will grow in this program!"

"Everlee has a sweet personality and is always willing to help her peers and the teacher. She is also ready to answer questions during class discussion," said Jennifer Kemp, third grade teacher.

"I have seen Harper adjust to our school well, but also saw her helping  her classmates to adjust," said Sherry Cockrill, guidance teacher.
