West Carroll Elementary Welcomes Students, Families at Annual Open House
From the Aug 19, 2025 e-Edition
TREZEVANT (August 4) — West Carroll Elementary School kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with its annual open house Monday. Students and their families were warmly welcomed to campus for an evening of introductions, information and community connection.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, tour classrooms and attend Title I meetings held in individual classrooms. These meetings provided parents with valuable information about academic expectations and resources for the year ahead.
In addition to meeting their new teachers, students explored their learning spaces and prepared for the first day of school. The evening also included community involvement, with the junior football league hosting registration during the event.
Sisters Kynlea Belk, a sixth grader, and McKynna Capps, a third grader, were among the many students enjoying the evening. “I am really excited to meet my teachers and see my classroom,” Kynlea shared. “I’m looking forward to a great sixth-grade year and hope to make good grades.”
The event’s success was the result of teamwork among faculty and staff, who worked together to ensure a welcoming and organized experience for all. West Carroll Elementary extends its best wishes to all students for a successful and rewarding school year.
