Wildcats Record Strong Showing at Rhodes Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Bethel’s Cross Country teams posted several personal and season bests at the Rhodes Invitational. The Lady Wildcats finished seventh in the 5K, while the Wildcats placed sixth in the men’s 8K.

Fancy Jepkemboi led Bethel’s women with a personal-best time of 21:57, finishing 28th among 87 runners. Monserrat Serrano followed in 31st with a season-best 22:07. Shelci Caballero (24:06, 52nd), Kyis Kinnel (25:12, 65th) and Khristina Parker (33:13, 82nd) also recorded season bests.

Hudson Wallace paced the men with a season-best 28:10, placing 13th among 77 runners. Chandler Roberson finished 23rd in 29:07, followed by Ryan Coley in 26th (29:18), Owen Crocker in 48th (32:46) and San’Darius Coleman in 52nd (33:54). Each posted a season-best time.

“I am proud of the work and dedication the team has been putting in during this heat wave,” Bethel’s Coach Wes Bradshaw stated. “We had a lot of season bests and are looking to keep building and getting better. I am looking forward to seeing what they will

achieve at our next meet.”
