PARIS — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has received a new piece of equipment to help combat contraband and keep it from entering the jail. On January 31, 2024, HCSD received a body scanner that was located into the booking area of the jail.

NASHVILLE (January 29) — The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is announcing its participation in the 2024 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The goal of the Summer Food Service Program is to ensure children 18 and younger, who benefit from meal programs at school, continue to have that same access to nutritious meals outside of school.

TENNESSEE (FEBRUARY 12) — Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.83/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 12.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 22.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has risen 6.9 cents in the last week and stands at $3.99 per gallon.

The two FCE clubs of Carroll County, Bethel/Eastside of Huntingdon and Macedonia of McKenzie, came together in a joint effort to host the cluster meeting for Western Region FCE clubs. The Western Region consists of 31 counties bordered by the Mississippi River, There were about 70 ladies present including the extension agents for several of those counties.
