TREZEVANT (February 13) — The Town of Trezevant has a new amphitheater, new playground and soon a newly named park. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled April 14 at 2 p.m. to celebrate the city’s accomplishments.

TREZEVANT — The Town of Trezevant Board met Tuesday, June 14 for their regular monthly meeting dealing with several continuing items and a few new items on its agenda. The board had a bare quorum with Pam Joyner and Don Barger absent.

McKENZIE — Construction for a new multi-purpose sports and physical education facility began December 1 at McKenzie High School. Immediately as the MHS football team departed the school en route to Chattanooga for the championship game, earth-moving equipment excavated the football practice field and started construction of a new multi-purpose building.

McKENZIE (May 29) — Memorial Day is a day of remembrance, commemorated to honor the memory of the troops who never returned home from battle. The City of McKenzie hosted a Memorial Day ceremony Monday at 10 a.m. for citizens to honor and memorialize loved ones who sacrificed their lives in the name of freedom.

The three-judge panel heard arguments in three cases as approximately 250 students from McKenzie, Gleason, Henry County, Huntingdon, Clarksburg, Hollow Rock-Bruceton, Bethel University and Tennessee College of Applied Technology.
