Election Day is Thursday

CARROLL COUNTY (August 3) — Thursday, August 6 is the local general elections and the political party primaries in the state and federal elections. Thursday, the local precincts open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Voters can visit https:/tnmap.tn.gov/voterlookup to check the voter registration record and where to vote.

Early voting closed Saturday, August 1. In total, 2,386 individuals in Carroll County placed their votes during the early voting period. Of those, 1,904 voted Republican and 408 voted Democratic.

The City of Clarksburg municipal election is also August 6, 2026.

The big elections are the primaries for Governor and Congress.

Other offices on the August 6 primary midterm election ballot are David Kustoff’s U.S. Congressional District 8 seat, Bill Hagerty’s U.S. Senate seat, Bill Lee’s Tennessee Governor seat, Tandy Darby’s Tennessee House of Representatives District 76 seat and Brock Martin’s District 79 House of Representatives seat.

In the Republican Primary are:

Governor - Marsha Blackburn, Monty Fritts, and John Rose; United States Senate - Bill Hagerty; U.S. Congress District 8 - David Kustoff; Tn. House District 76 - Tandy Darby; Tn.
