NASHVILLE (October 19) — Tennessee’s unemployment rate for September 2023 inched up slightly from the state’s all-time low rate of 3.1%. Data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) showed the seasonally adjusted rate increased by 0.1 of a percentage point to 3.2% during the month.

TRENTON (October 14) — On Saturday, the City of Trenton honored longtime coach and city alderman, Frank Gibson. Pedestrian Park in downtown Trenton was The Frank Gibson Pedestrian Park. Gibson spearheaded the creation of Pedestrian Park, turning a vacant lot in the heart of the downtown area into what is now one of the most utilized and beautiful amenities the city has to offer.

The McKenzie Rotary welcomed Mayfield, Kentucky Mayor Kathy O’Nan as a guest and program speaker. O’Nan who has served as mayor since January 2019 faced the COVID-19 pandemic and the F4 tornado that leveled most of Mayfield on December 10, 2021.
