McKENZIE  - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Ann (Simmons) Chandler, who peacefully died on June 12, 2024.
She was born on July 12, 1950, to Aaron Bailess and Elizabeth (Niblack) Simmons in McKenzie, Tennessee. Ann married Jerry Chandler on July 20, 1968, and they shared 55 years of marriage. They worked side by side for many years.
 
Ann was a dedicated wife and mother who was devoted to her family and found great joy in not only spending time with them on visits but looked forward to catching up on nightly phone calls.
 
Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McKenzie. She was passionate about life's simple pleasures, such as savoring a refreshing Diet Coke and cheering on her favorite teams, the Tennessee Titans Football team and the Tennessee Vols. Raising three boys taught her patience and gave her a great sense of humor, which she maintained until her final hours. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry Chandler of McKenzie, Tennessee; sons: Carey (Christy) Chandler of St. Louis, Missouri, Craig Chandler of McKenzie, Tennessee, Chris (Courtney) Chandler of Franklin, Tennessee; brother, Don (Jan) Simmons of Spring Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren:  Kristen (Chris) Gabelmann of Fort Collins, Colorado, Lauren (Jacob) Sparks of Little Rock, Arkansas, Anna Catherine Chandler of Jackson, Tennessee; Collins Chandler of Franklin, Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Jackson and Jace; as well as many nieces and nephews. In honor of Ann's life, a funeral service and ceremony will be held at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home, 1740 Cedar Street, McKenzie, Tennessee, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.  A burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, Tennessee. +
