Carroll County’s annual Relay for Life event returns Saturday, Sept. 9, for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, held at the Carroll County Civic Center, helps the American Cancer Society (ACS) fundraise and raise public awareness of benefits for cancer patients.

The McKenzie Church of Christ is hosting a free BBQ supper at the church on Highland Drive on Thursday, May 18, 5 to 7:30 p.m. or until food is gone.

The West Carroll High School Football program is hosting a Memphis Wrestling Fundraiser at the high school, 760 Hwy 77 in Atwood, Tenn., on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission or $15 for ringside. The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 72nd Annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 8 a.m. at the Carroll County Airport. The theme for 2023, is Pray fervently in righteousness and avail much emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence for his Holy name. The national theme comes from James 5:16, where it says, “Pray fervently in righteousness and avail much.” The public is invited to attend as we pray for our nation, our state, our county, and our neighbors.
