MEMPHIS (November 6) — Runners from several local schools excelled at the TSSAA Class A State Cross Country Championships Thursday at Shelby Farms Park, earning numerous medals and high team finishes. Dresden earned both the girls' and boys' individual championships. more
NASHVILLE (November 6) — Semifinalists for the 2025 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards were announced Thursday, and for the fourth time in five years, a McKenzie High School player is among the five Class 1A semifinalists. Junior Cole Brown follows in the footsteps of recent semifinalists Tate Surber, Jackson Cassidy and Marquez Taylor. Surber and Cassidy were named Mr. Football in 2024 and 2022, respectively, and Taylor was a finalist in 2021. more

The five-round, single-elimination gauntlets that are the TSSAA Football State Playoffs begin Friday, November 7. McKenzie and Huntingdon host first-round games in their respective brackets. more
McKENZIE (October 31) — Prior to Friday night's final regular season football game, McKenzie High School celebrated Senior Night. 17 football players, one manager, one cheerleader and five band members were honored on the field with family members. more
McKENZIE (October 31) — McKenzie High School claimed the Region 6-1A championship Friday night with a 54-0 drubbing of McEwen in the regular season finale. more
McKENZIE (October 30) — Players, managers, family and fans gathered at McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Thursday to celebrate the inaugural season of volleyball at McKenzie High School. more
DRESDEN (October 28) — Carroll County will be well-represented at the 2025 TSSAA Cross Country State Championships with two teams and one individual qualifying after their performances in the Class A Section 3 regional meets on Tuesday. more
For the first time in the new decade, McKenzie’s littlest Rebels had the chance to cheer at Randy Thomas Field during the McKenzie Rebels’ football halftime show Friday, October 24. more
McKENZIE (October 21) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Huntingdon Tuesday for a pair of basketball contests, their first home games of the season. The Fillies pulled away early en route to a 57-15 win. The Rebels stayed within reach until late, when the Mustangs pulled away for a 47-33 victory. more
NASHVILLE (October 27) — The Tennessee Sports Writers Association and USA Today Network released new football rankings Monday after Week 10, the penultimate week of the regular season. more
McKENZIE (October 24) —- McKenzie High School hosted Wayne County Friday for a region football contest. The Rebels dominated both sides of the ball and cruised to a 41-0 victory. more
McKENZIE — Ace Brown, a junior at McKenzie High School, is the back-to-back champion of the Carroll Lake Club Championship in the men's division (under 65). His win last year made him the youngest ever to hold the title at age 16. more
McKENZIE (October 21) — Representatives of Pepsi Mid-America honored McKenzie High School golf standout Charli Weatherford Tuesday with a plaque. more
MARTIN (October 13) — Westview High School hosted Huntingdon Monday for the District 12A Soccer Championship. The host Lady Chargers claimed the title with a 9-0 win over the Fillies. As the runner-up, Huntingdon will travel for the first round of the Region 6A tournament. more
OWENSBORO, Ky. (October 20) — McKenzie High School football standout and 2025 graduate KD Cunningham is making noise at the next level, seeing heavy playing time as a freshman at Kentucky Wesleyan College. more
McKenzie High School's newest athletic endeavor just concluded its first season, and the future looks bright for the fledgling program. The Lady Rebel volleyball team ended the year with a loss to Huntingdon in the semifinals of the district tournament on Tuesday, October 7. more

SEVIERVILLE (October 9-10) — McKenzie High School golfer Charli Weatherford competed in the 2025 Class A Girls Golf Championship at Sevierville Golf Club last week and earned an eighth-place finish (tie) among 46 competitors. more
