Mc Kenzie, TNMrs. Barbara Jean Carmichael Castleman, 72, of Martin, TN, died Sunday, 11/07/2021, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Martin, with Dr. Roger S. Oldham and Dr. Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday after 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Owen, Phillip Walker, Terry Crittendon, Don McDonald, Jerry Wilhite, and Matt Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Hope Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Castleman was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. She formerly served on the Board of Trustees for the University of Tennessee and was retired as administrator for the Weakley County Election Commission.
Mrs. Castleman is survived by her husband, Bennie Castleman, Martin; two daughters, Claire (Jay) Oliver of Gleason, TN and Kelly (Tim) Smith of Adamsville, TN; her son, Bryan (Candace) Castleman of Martin; six grandchildren, Maggie Oliver, Mollie Oliver, Mary Kate Smith, Leah Grace Smith, Wade Castleman, and Creed Castleman; two brothers, Jimmy Carmichael and Mark Carmichael, both of Martin.
Mrs. Castleman was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Nell Smith Carmichael.
