Free Spaghetti Supper McKenzie Church of Christ February 9
The McKenzie Church of Christ is hosting a free spaghetti supper at the church on Highland Drive, Thursday evening, February 9, 5-7:30 p.m. or until all the food is gone. Dining-in is available or drive-thru for pick up. The menu consists of spaghetti, bread, dessert and a drink (drink for dining in only). This meal is free to all who are hungry or in need of Christian fellowship. All you have to do is come by. Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, call 731-352-2106 or 731-695-6576.

Carroll County Humane Society Strawberry Sale
The Carroll County Humane Society is taking orders for delicious Florida strawberries through February 14 for delivery in early March. A flat is $30 and half flat $18. Pre-orders can be made by calling 731-358-1019 or in person at 21822 Hwy 22, McKenzie.

Adult Crappie Fishing Workshop February 11
The Tennessee Wildlife Federation is hosting an Adult Crappie Fishing Workshop on Saturday, February 11, at 149 Eastern Shores Drive, Lexington, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The price is $35 per person and topics include the biology of crappie, tackle preparation, pairing lures with rods and reels, patterns and locations and technique and strategies for catching crappie. Fundraiser For Matthew Jones February 11
The Cupid Shuffle 5K/One Mile Fun Run/Tot Trot to benefit Matthew Jones takes place Saturday, February 11, 2023, at McKenzie City Park, 570 Como Street, McKenzie. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Preregistration guarantees a shirt and a mug. Tee shirts and mugs available for sale on site and hot chocolate provided post-race. Matthew has been fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease since January 2021.

The West Tennessee Sarcoidosis Support group meets Saturday, February 18, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 150 Adams Street, McLemoresville. Receive health tips and knowledge from guest speaker Chris Blount, Physician’s Assistant.

Bow Wow at The Barn with 24 Seven March 4
Bow Wow at the Barn featuring the band 24 Seven is Saturday, March 4, at The Venue at Waddell Place, 894 Joy Sparks Road, McKenzie, 6-10 p.m. This is an annual event with proceeds going to the Carroll County Humane Society a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Tickets are $25 each and on sale now at the Carroll County Humane Society or by calling 731-358-1019. Raffles, door prizes, silent auction, cash bar (ID required) and complimentary bar snacks available. Poot’s BBQ food truck will be there.

Huntingdon High School 5K March 5
The Huntingdon High School Track, Field and Cross Country teams are hosting a 5K run on Sunday, March 5. The race begins at 2 p.m. at the Huntingdon Middle School. Entry fee is $25 and a long sleeve tee shirt is guaranteed if registered by February 17.

Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club Meets Monthly

Carroll County Republican Party Meets
The Carroll County Republican Party meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the court room of the Public Safety building, 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon. The reorganization election of executive committee members will take place on February 28.

Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
On the third Tuesday of each month, The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 E. Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited.
It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal and a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Mount Zion United Methodist Food Pantry
The United Methodist Church Caring Heart Food Pantry at Mt Zion Church, 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon has a food distribution the second Saturday of each month, 9 to 11 a.m.

McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly

Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
