Carroll County Budget Committee to Meet
Carroll County Budget Committee meeting meets the third Thursday of every month starting at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex. 
 
MHS Class of 1972 Plans  50-Year Reunion
The McKenzie High School Class of 1972 is planning its 50-year reunion on Saturday, June 4 and invites all classmates and their guests to attend. It will be held at Chandler’s Barn/Pavilion, located at 700 Hill Road, McKenzie, which is off Rochelle Road behind the Carroll County Airport. Signs will be posted at the turn off.
 
A meet and greet begins at 5 p.m., followed by a catered dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Classmates are encouraged to bring any old photos of childhood gatherings or school days to help rekindle fond times.
 
A special segment of the program will honor deceased classmates. The committee encourages all 1972 classmates to attend.
 
The reunion committee asks all classmates and guests to send in a $25 registration fee to cover expenses of the reunion meal and event. Please send checks in by May 28 to Steve Williams, 318 Diamond Drive, McKenzie TN 38201.

McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens Saturday, June 4
McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens Saturday, June 4, 8 a.m., 2431 Cedar Street, in downtown McKenzie. The former Studebaker dealership was converted to an indoor/outdoor farmers market and allows area citizens to sell their homemade and homegrown foods and other products. 
 
It is open every Saturday morning through October. Also visit on Tuesday afternoons, 2-6 p.m.  Watch for special children’s activities sponsored by the Carroll County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Service. 
 
Admission is free. The facility is sponsored by the City of McKenzie. For vendor information, phone City Hall at 731-352-2292.
 
McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
Fund-raiser for Janet Barton
A spaghetti plate dinner, including salard, roll, dessert and drink is $10 at (McKenzie) Downtown Diner, Saturday, June 11, 4 to 7 p.m.
Live music will be presented by the Ricky Fuzzell Band.
 
First CP Vacation Bible School
On Wednesday, July 6 through Friday, July 8, McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church is having Vacation Bible School, “Monumental - Celebrating God’s Greatness” - for children ages 3 to those who have just finished 5th grade.  Hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Supper will be provided.  Come celebrate Christian fellowship, fun and the joy of God’s Word!
 
Greenfield First Baptist Vacation Bible School
Greenfield First Baptist Church Community-Wide VBS Block Party is Saturday, June 25, 5 p.m. to 7:30  p.m.  There will be free food, jumpers, games, face painting, grand prizes, and more for all ages!  The church is located at 3127 N. Meridian Street in Greenfield.
Greenfield First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School is Sunday, June 26 – Wednesday, June 29, 6 to 8:30 each night.  There will be bible lessons, music, games, crafts, missions, and food for all ages as well as an Adult Bible Study!  Pre-register your kids at www.fbcgreenfield.org and click on the VBS logo at the top.  For a ride, please call 731-235-3365 or 731-414-9556 – Bus riders must be pre-registered.  The church is located at 3127 N. McKenzie School Board Budget Workshop
McKenzie School Board meets Tuesday, June 7, 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office, 114 Bell Street. The purpose of the meeting is a workshop on the 2022-23 budget. The public is invited to attend.
 
McKenzie  Re-Birth Committee Event
The McKenzie Community Rebirth Committee is hold an event in downtown McKenzie on June 24 and 25. 
 
On Friday, June 24, 4 to 8 p.m., there will be karaoke, open mic, and a scavenger hunt. On Saturday, June 25, noon to 4 p.m., is music and games through the downtown square. Food trucks will be on location.
 
Carroll County Election Commission Meets June 14
The Carroll County Election Commission meets June 14, 2022 at 6 p.m., in the Election Office at 625 High St, Suite 113, Huntingdon. The meeting is to prepare for the August election.
