Carroll County Electric Board Meets June 7
The Carroll County Electric Department Board of Directors has a Special Called Meeting June 7 at 2:30 p.m., where they will discuss a potential land purchase. The meeting is in the boardroom of the Carroll County Electric Department, at 103 W. Paris St., Huntingdon.

McKenzie High School Alumni Association Meets June 8
The McKenzie High School Alumni Association has its first formal meeting Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. in the McKenzie High School Theater. All McKenzie High School alumni are invited to attend the informational meeting.

Huntingdon Board of Education Meets June 13
The Huntingdon Board of Education will hold a finance workshop on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 5 p.m. at the Huntingdon Central Office located at 585 High Street, Huntingdon, Tenn.

Carroll County Relay For Life Meeting June 13
Carroll County Relay For Life will meet on June 13, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the McKenzie Farmers Market building.

McKenzie Chamber, Industry Banquet June 20
The McKenzie Chamber of Commerce and Industry Banquet is Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Venue at Waddell Place at 894 Joy Sparks Road in McKenzie, Tenn. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $40 for Chamber members, $60 for Non-Members and $250 for a table of 8 seats. During the event, awards will be presented to members for the Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year. Members are encouraged to attend. The keynote speaker will be Kyle Spurgeon, President and CEO of the Jackson, Tenn. Chamber. An Evening with Carroll Arts
Carroll Arts, Inc. will present An Evening with Carroll Arts on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie. The event is free to the public and will feature visual and performing arts exhibitions with a special presentation of Carroll County’s Friend of the Arts Award. The church is located at 16835 Highland Drive.

McKenzie Seniors Shrimp Boil
The McKenzie Seniors Shrimp Boil is Saturday, June 10 at 5 p.m. at the McKenzie Senior Center, 172 Main Street South. The classic shrimp boil contains fresh shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage, all boiled in a broth. Desserts are included. Steve Bomar will provide music. Tickets are $15 purchased in advance from a member or at the Senior Center.

Miss Juneteenth Pageant is June 10
The Miss Juneteenth Pageant is Saturday, June 10, 2023, 2 p.m. at the Webb School, 938 Walnut Avenue, McKenzie. Pageant Entry fee is $25, plus another $5 for entry into each of the special categories. Age groups are 6-10; 11-14, and 15 to 18 years of age. General admission is $5.

VFW Cornhole Tourney June 10
McKenzie Veterans of Foreign Wars & Auxiliary Post #4939 hosts a cornhole tournament June 10 at 9750 Cherrywood Road in McKenzie. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and the event starts at 1 p.m. There is a $50 fee per each two-person team.

The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meets Wednesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at the Carroll County Emergency Operations Center, 210 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon.

Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club Meets Monthly

Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly

Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter.
