Mrs. Carolyn Cook, 76, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Friday, December 29, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services are  2 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Mark Carrigan and Dr. Tim Atkins officiating.                     

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday, 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Cook was born May 26, 1947, in Camden, Tennessee. She was the second child to the late Edward Lowry and Jewell Wheatley Lowry. She is preceded in death by her sister, Martha Ann Cooper.

After graduating from Camden High School and cosmetology school, She began her professional journey as a well-known and respected hair stylist/salon owner in Huntingdon. She remained dedicated to her clients until her illness.

Family was the joy of her life. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Large holiday gatherings and her fabulous cooking will always be a cherished memory for all.

Carolyn enjoyed 26 years of marriage to Stanley Cook. Together, they blended a beautiful family. She treasured the beauty of the ocean and many family beach trips. One of her favorite sayings to the grandchildren when they leave her home was, “See ya at the beach.”

Carolyn loved the Lord and was a First United Methodist Church of Huntingdon member.

Her beauty and kindness have left a mark on all of those who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Stanley Cook; children, Paula French Brewer (Tracy) of Jackson, Tennessee, Brian French of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Jill French Brigance (Jason) of Martin, Tennessee; step-sons, Greg Cook (Sonja) of Wilmington, North Carolina and Brian Cook (Julie) of McKenzie, Tennessee; grandchildren, Austin Brewer Reviere (Grant), Anna Trace Brewer, Carson Brigance, Jillian Brigance, Owen French, Dorie Cook, West Cook, Trey Cook, Aubrey Cook, Tia Cook, Abby Ballard and Cole Ballard; one great-grandchild, Oliver Taaffe and her beloved fur baby, Theo.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude or the charity of your choice.  

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Carson Brigance, West Cook, Trey Cook, Cole Ballard and Grant Reviere.
